Massive Hurricane Ike turns into a monster as it roars over Turks and Caicos.. the Grand Turk Island devastated by the storm this morning..

People have been cowering in closets and under stairwells and "just holding on for life. They got hit really, really bad," he told The Associated Press Sunday morning. People across the Caribbean are closely watching the progress tonight of Hurricane Ike, a deadly and intensifying storm in the Atlantic Ocean.. From that point, the mystery: A few long range outlooks place the storm near Texas.. some show Ike meandering and strengthening in the Gulf.. a few take Ike near Louisiana and Texas.. The worst case would be a southeast strike of an intensifying hurricane on New Orleans and southeast Louisiana.
