MARVEL COMICS HITS THE TEA PARTY

While there seems to be a tug of war within the Tea Parties across America--between pro-war conservatives like Sarah Palin and anti-war libertarians like Ron Paul--a new battle is beginning in the war over 'teabagging' .. This one courtesy of Marvel Comics, which in a new comic features Captain America at a Tea Party rally. The NEW YORK TIMES explains,
"In issue No. 602 of Captain America, the hero and his ally the Falcon find themselves at a rally where protesters hold signs that read "Tea Bag the Libs Before They Tea Bag You!" and "Stop the Socialists!" Captain America remarks that the assembly appears to be an "anti-tax thing," and the Falcon, who is black, says he probably would not fit in with "a bunch of angry white folks"

Immediate reaction occurred online.. And after the outcry over the political statement from America's comic book icon hero, of the comic said the line will be stricken from the record in future issues..

Before the comic turnaround, RAW STORY ran a report saying teabaggers were upset that they were turned into 'supervillians' .. And another website, Commics Alliance, said that Marvel owed no apologies to the tea parties..
