You would certainly think...

..that the health care vote is one of the biggest of your career, and you don't want to mess it up. All of the arguments, and now it's Christmas Eve and the entire nation is watching the Senate (well, that's an overstatement I suppose) .. at least the entire Washington D.C. press corps is angrily waiting until the vote so they, too, can go home and celebrate the holiday.. And then Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader and former boxer, comes up to vote. He wants health care.. he breathes public option *(even though liberals are a tad bit upset that this bill contains so such staunch change, and in fact lobbyists will be happy with it since they wrote most of it)*.. but here's Hurried Harry in his Christmas spirit.. and he votes no! The POLITICO reports,
"Clearly exhausted, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid mistakenly voted no before changing his vote to yes, which got a laugh in the chamber, especially from Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.
After the vote, Reid joked, "I spent a very restless night last night trying to figure out how I could show some bipartisanship and I think I was able to accomplish that for a few minutes"

Were he to note notice he voted no? The bill would have been in trouble in the Senate.. Oh boy..

But instead, Happy Harry can sleep well knowing he changed his mistake vote to a yes. On dasher and prancer.. off to conference .. And to all a good night.
