GREEN OFF THE DEEP END

Diane Francis of the Canadian FINANCIAL POST calls for worldwide one child policy similar to that in China.. a forceful governmental body dictating how many children you should have, all in the name of healing the world of the ravages of climate change..

The radicals are running amok in 'Hopenhagen'..

Francis writes in the FINANCIAL POST in a stunning typographical calm:
"A planetary law, such as China's one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently, which is one million births every four days"

The world's other species, vegetation, resources, oceans, arable land, water supplies and atmosphere are being destroyed and pushed out of existence as a result of humanity's soaring reproduction rate.
Ironically, China, despite its dirty coal plants, is the world's leader in terms of fashioning policy to combat environmental degradation, thanks to its one-child-only edict"

It's not the first time that someone defended China's policies on children.. Even today, CHINA DAILY dispatched that population control is being called 'key' to the deal in Copenhagen..

Population control.
"Control."

Eugenics appears to be making an ugly return, in a new form and with a new set of words.. This time, 'climate change,' and 'cap and trade' appear to be key buzz words for international agreements that may eventually attempt to stop population growth through government rules..

Again, from the FINANCIAL POST:
"China has proven that birth restriction is smart policy. Its middle class grows, all its citizens have housing, health care, education and food, and the one out of five human beings who live there are not overpopulating the planet"

Ironically, our eugenicist at the NATIONAL POST has two children, not 1..

Mrs. Francis' own blog today is filled with comments such as this from a reader:
Hey, Diane -- I was wondering when you're going to drown one of your two children, considering that you recently advocated forcing a one-child policy on the entire world after the pattern of the Communist Chinese system, which you apparently admire for the way it provides healthcare, food, and housing to its oppressed subjects

Another said,
"Awww, you had a sister? I'm sure she is lovely. Siblings are great, aren't they?"

There have been several comments on Francis' blog removed by the editor..

Today's Copenhagen update:
Sticking points for global warming deal .. draft points lead to hard-bargaining..

Protesters converge..

Another article penned by Charlie Brooks of the London TELEGRAPH opines,
The real "elephant at the summit", however, is population growth. In spite of it being the core cause of climate change, everyone is running a mile from having a serious, frank discussion on how it can be halted. True, it's a sensitive subject, but it will be impossible to feed an expanding population while reducing the impact on the environment. And if this problem is not confronted, all those hours spent agonising over reducing greenhouse gases and setting carbon emission levels will have been superfluous
