The Christmas Day underwear terror bomber didn't blow up the flight bound for Detroit, but his actions apparently were severe enough to create a feeding frenzy of fear in the United States. Suddenly there are calls full body scanners, even though those same scanners have long been feared due to privacy concerns. After all, the thought of a TSA worker peering at a full nude image of the body in front of him is a concern, let alone the questions about the powerful Xrays and what effect they could have on a body..
But now there are new calls for these very devices.. the same devices that Congress most recently as this past summer said on 3 to 1 margin that the full body scanners should only be used as a second screening for questionable passengers..
The scannners are in few airports, but major media would have the world watching believe that suddenly everyone wants them.. Put them in the malls! Put them at the grocery store!! Place them in my own home!!!

And maybe a little more after that. Trouble is, no one ever talks about bringing any of that little bit of privacy back...
