Newton, Rest in Peace

I met Newton on September 2, 1998 .. he was a gift from my sister and brother-in-law soon after the death of a previous dog.. Newton had floppy ears and trotted around the house, knocking down curtains and lights as he did.. He was friendly, always happy.. and affectionate beyond belief.. he loved people, was wonderful with kids, and ate like a cow as he aged. Always happy.. always loving.

Newt was there for the most important formative events of my life: Senior prom.. graduation from high school.. graduation from college.. my wedding day.. always there, always happy.

Today, April 20, 2009 at approximately 1:35pm, Newton passed away. He did so with family surrounding him.. he wanted them there.. He died in peace at home.. and he went on to a better place. For those that say there are no dogs in heaven, if there is a heaven, they never met Newt..

Goodbye buddy.

Bryan--I'm so sorry for your loss.Having gone through it myself many a time, I know how much it hurts. But know that Newton has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and he'll be there to greet you with his tail wagging on that day in the long distant future when you, too, pass on.
Sincerely--Rose.

So sorry to hear about Newton! I have many fond memories of him. He was such a crazy, lovable and friendly pup! I understand what you're going through as we lost Danni 2 years ago and I still miss her terribly!! My thoughts are with you!
