Email threatens to spare your life for a price

According to a source to the Schmuckraker, a new internet scam crowding emails has now filtered into several state and federal email accounts.

Now, however, several government agency employees across several states are receiving the email, with at least one state agency telling its employees to report the threats to a cyber security team set up to battle this, and other, potential email and internet scams ..

Authorities have been notified in many instances across the country, now most notably by state agencies that have employees receiving the bribe.

Several of the emails originally asked for $50,000 .. however, the 'hitman' has since increased the price: $80,000 is now being asked for a spared life.
