Texas voting rules are different that what your state, unless you're from Texas, probably has... You can vote twice! A prospect looking good to Republicans who want to derail a Democratic candidate they either want revenge on or think is weak.. Then they can vote again later. Intrigue has surrounded the Texas primary coming up on Tuesday for several weeks..Republicans have been quoted publicly admitting they want to vote Democratic early and GOP later. Many of them appear to have their sights on trying to give Hillary Clinton an embarrassing defeat.. And now, a columnist with Texas Monthly seems to notice a pattern in early voting in Texas (*Yes, they have that too.*) Paul Burka writes, "You can be sure that a considerable amount of effort is going to be expended by Republican consultants between now and the general election trying to figure out who these people are. Are they mainstream R's who want to prevent Hillary from getting the nomination? Or are they disaffected R's who are attracted by Obama? Or are they voting for the Democrat they think will be easier for McCain to defeat?" The answer to Mr. Burka's questions coming only within days.. Will Hillary Clinton face a dramatic increase because her party, with the help of some of those not in her party, show their weariness with her 1990s campaign tactics? Will Obama, the youthful Senator that many Republicans are beginning to see as an easy target, get renewed wind in his sails ... Will Ohio vote for her ? Pennsylvania? Governor Ed Rendell sure hopes so. They can't cross over there. Just Texas. Deep in the heart of Texas. ***
