Hope fades in Harrisburg

Governor Ed Rendell said today he was "not optimistic" about reaching a deal, meaning that more than 24,000 state workers may be furloughed Monday..
Either all talk or all walk: According to the Harrisburg PATRIOT NEWS:
Rendell said he will make a decision by 4 or 5 p.m. Sunday on whether enough progress has been made on resolving the budget impasse to know if he could suspend the furloughs. But his bottom line on the likelihood of the furloughs being suspended: "I am not as optimistic as I was yesterday."
The Associated Press and other media outlets are reporting there is no deal and there will be furloughs..Rendell blames Republicans while Republicans blame Rendell...Ahhh, politics.
And the jobs of more than 24,000 folks at risk..
