Chatter amongst the chatter...
Yesterday, Homeland Security Head Michael Chertoff said he had a gut feeling that Al Qaida was strong again, saying his assessment is that terrorists like the summer for strikes and things are eerily similar to how they were before 9/11.. The White House downplayed the comments.. But today the AP is reporting that Al Qaida is now back to it's 2001 capabilities! Chertoff said summertime is an appealing time of increased risk.. A period of "increased vulnerability".. Chertoff even said sorry today, stating he didn't want to alarm anyone.. However, as more information from AP comes out, it looks like the intelligence community has chattering about the increased chatter.. NEWSWEEK magazine expands on the AP story, saying that government analysts are concerned about an increased rise in Al Qaida strength and that the terror group is growing bigger..
Mike.. were you right?
